It has a full-size Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, and that makes it a real gaming machine, too.
4 FourTwo I got the XPS in a bundle with a Windows 10 PC, and the laptop itself runs a custom version of Windows 10 Home, so I’ve been able to play the Xbox One X without having to upgrade to the next generation of hardware.
But the PC version of the Xps, as far as I can tell, has no built-in NVIDIA graphics card.
This is not a huge deal, but it’s a bit annoying.
Dell says the company has already worked with Microsoft to make sure that Windows 10 is built-into the Xs hardware.
4FourTwo I’ve tried the laptop and the Xbox controller on a Windows 7 machine and they’ve both worked fine.
However, the controller doesn’t support cross-platform gaming, meaning that I’m not able to use it with the Xbox and the PS4 controllers, even if I have a Windows console plugged in. 4 4Two Dell says that the X-series laptops will ship in April, but they’re also promising a full refund if you don’t want to buy it.
The company says that it will help customers get the X’s price down by offering free return shipping and offering refunds for any defective hardware.
Dell will also provide a support channel to help customers in case they want to return the X. 4
